Swimming on warm and not so warm days.

We had a lot of fun developing our swimming skills this year. We focused on freestyle arm and leg action and keeping our noses pointed to the bottom of the pool. This helps us develop our streamlined body position.
We loved having fun and learning through play and watching others.

Time for a chat after our lessons.

Plenty of space to be a starfish for the longest.

Where did everybody go?  "It's not too cold!"

With our friends.

Brooke's recount
On Wednesday morning Room 9 and Room 15 went to the Hampstead School pool. When I jumped into the blue pool my friend Xanita went down onto the ladder. I said to Xanita "It's so warm". We dolphin dived to the deep end and back.
After Xanita and I dolphin dived Zara and I raced to the middle of the pool. We tried to go deeper, but we could not touch the bottom.
Suddenly it started to rain. everyone was laughing and yelling. The class and I loved it! It felt like a hot Sunday.
After Swimming I felt amazing because it was so nice in the pool.

  1. Brooke you and Xanita sound like you love the water- it is great, there's nothing better! Isn't it weird when it rains and the pool still feels warm?
